Idea 1: Final Group Formation

 Introduction

I am making a film opening for Component one and I am working with three other classmates, working together to make the film opening. Me and my group work well and communicate good enough to agree and cooperate with each other to put the best work out. My group consists of Lelia, Danielle, Jaliyah and me Quiana. Our production name is Jack-o-hollow, how we came up with the name is we sat together and lookup on the internet making sure our production names we choose were not taken and we brainstormed the current production name we have together.

The sorts of genres I enjoy consume is thriller, horror, and mystery. And the themes that follow along with it that I like is good vs evil, survival, revenge and drama. My favorite movies that represent the genres and themes I take interest in are Terrifier, Train to Busan, and Carrie are some of the few films I like that are relevant to the genres and themes I take interest in. The general plot of them all is the same or alike in some way they all consist of a villain that is supernatural or is paranormal and the good side that is human. Three ways the producer used Mise en scene to engage me with the movies I take interest in are lighting, they use different types of lighting to add suspense. Props, they use props to make something seem more real and the more realistic something looks the scarier or fascinating something is. And finally, location, the choice of location interests me in a film because some horror films take place at a haunted house, a school or just an abandoned place. What I learn from the films I watch is that they all have common plots but different backgrounds. For example, a known horror film Annabelle is about a haunted doll and is a real-life story and another known horror film Chucky is also about a haunted doll, but its background is fictional. I think my group has similar taste in movies because, as a group we decided what we wanted are film opening to be and we agreed we wanted it to be relevant to all of our interest which is horror, drama and mystery.

Reflection

My group member strengths are their unique and eye-catching creativity. And as a team member of the group, I believe I have to do better in being on time, since I usually run late and match my teammates creativity and not be so simple. How we collaborate with our team assignments is we sit together and put out our ideas and what we think we should do and if the other team member feels some things should be changed, we come to an agreement and fix it up. We communicate with each other at school good enough to get what we need done and in the right authentic way. We communicate with each other after school trough texting and sending pictures of what we've done and ask if any changes should be made.
