Component 1 Blog Critical Reflection and Student Self- Assessment

 

Understanding and explaining how media products construct and communicate meanings through close analysis of the interaction of media language and audience responses.
Objective: To introduce students to the Component 1 critical reflection questions, closed analysis of a media product created by Media Studies candidates, and to self-reflect on their media product. Other goals: ·        It provides insight into how the technical elements and media concepts are used to create meaning to target an audience. ·        Students will also develop and analyze how they used their practical skills using software and hardware technology to complete their media products.
Instructions:   1.   Fill in your responses using your own words. Please note I will be checking to see if my students are using AI to answer these questions. 2.   Use the 9607 AICE Media Studies Syllabus and the Component 1 Blog PPT  to assist you in answering the questions. 3.   Once you have completed the table, copy it into a new draft to create your second blog post. 4.   The title is listed above and should be placed under the Introduction section of your blog site. 5.    Check your post to ensure the table is visible and not cut off when published. If it is, please edit and update the website. 6.   Recheck blog posts in published mode to make sure everything has been updated. 7.   Copy the web address in the published mode, not the draft mode, and submit it on CANVAS by the end of class. 8.   Also, submit a PDF copy of this to Canvas for full credit.

The purpose of my component one blog is to develop critical understanding of international media through engagement with media products and concepts.

1. Home Page			6. The importance of the homepage is to communicate that my media product is, worth clicking on. 7. The media languages I used to engage my audience are, clear and neat wording or WordArt
2. Design: Design template design and arrangement, colors, font (style, color, and size), and background image.			8. The design template I used was Watermark because (meaning). 9. The colors I chose are tan and orange because I feel like cool or warm colors they are comforting to the eyes and not too distracting. (meaning). 10. By choosing Arial font, it illustrates that something easy and straight-forward to read 11. The background image I selected was influenced by I have a pet bird so I wanted a picture that included birds.
